Those who couldn't or didn't make it, you suck! Yeah, suck it. Haha.. Had soooo much fun, but at the expense of my health la. Was coughing my bloody lungs out. Anyways, met up with DJ Rattle while he was taking a break. Man, he slimmed down though he kept complaining it was otherwise. Hah. Anyways, baby had sucha great time! Even the 3 wonderful ladies came down! Haha... Well I guess I shall leave this segment to my baby to blog about. She's was the one who was having all the fun afterall.

26th August

Happy Anniversary
dear! I love you soooo soooo much!

27th August

Went shopping with da family together with my Godma and her kids, and also my baby's favourite aunty at Marina. Bought a couple of clothes though at Zara. Anyways, my condition is better!

Wooot!

QR down, 2 more papers to go!

The paper today was aiight, hopefully hardwork pays off!

-----------

Went shopping with my baby, mom and sister after dinner at Robinsons, Centrepoint. Each of us bought a pair of Birkenstocks! My very first pair of it! Haha.. Siao kia.

Anyways I overheard the conversation between my mom and my baby. Seems to me like mom's scrapped the idea of getting me a WRX ever since this morning's tragic news of the young driver who was driving a WRX, crashed, and died. So.... it's gonna be an RX-8! Confirmed. Once my lovely beloved Getz turns 1 year old, it's gonna be sold off. Unfortunate. I really really got accustomed to my lovely Getz ya know... I've got feelings for it too ya know.. *Tears* But anyways, rotary! Yay!

Yea yea... Still long way till March 2007 aye? Hehe... my heart is sooo itchy right now. So this is the final reckoning! No more mods to my beloved Getz! Save for the last one, which is the sunshade due for installation next Tuesday night.

Time to save up for the REAL mods on a REAL car. Heh.. *Top Secret* Modifications.

Anyways enough about cars. Time to head back down to bed... Am really sleepy ya know...

Night peeps. Have a pleasant night ahead. Sleep tight. Don't let them bed bugs bite ;)

Ji

P.s. Baby I miss you, and I didn't tell you something before you left the car when I sent you back. So here's it; I LOVE YOU!
Slept at 4 am this morning, and I couldn't catch much sleep. Then woke at 630 am to send my siblings to school. My paper is at 2pm later on.

Let's do it!

All the best to everyone taking Q&R. Score score score!

Time to go now! Still have abit more time to revise a lil'.
Ciao folks'!

Ji

P.s. 2 papers down, 2 more to go! Q&R, here I come! SOCOM and OM, heh! You're next!

Scrap the project in the previous post. It proves that too much mods make up a hefty sum.

I'll be content with just these next two modifications. Heck, it'll probably be the last 2 modifications to my current ride if I'm switching rides next year. But all's still too early to tell right? Hence this conclusion.

First modification :

Sebring Exhaust System, though set at a high price of about $800, it is fully LTA compliant and comes with a Cert. to verify it, in case any TP/ROV stops you for that large twin-chrome tailpipe and loveable loud bassy-sounding exhaust note. This modification although will cut me back at the low-end torque for an Auto transmission ride, the bassy note alone is worth all that. Hey, it's a 1.6 litre, I'm not aiming for 0-100, so why care about low-end torque anyways.

Second modification :

Eibach Lowering Springs, engineered and tested to work well with OEM dampers albeit the high price of $440 can come across as somewhat expensive to some. (Whoever said tuning cars were cheap ought to be shot!) This one, improves road handling for my ride. High centre of gravity = poor handling and 'floating'. Once lowered from 30mm-50mm, it will give the once "cutesy" Getz a more menacing stance and stability I strive for when I do a quick corner. Have no fear! Lowered rides gives a stable corner exit and handling improves drastically. Couple this sports springs with that bassy exhaust note the Sebring gives, it matches wellto give a more European feel to the Getz than a mere Korean domestic car. But please do keep in mind, that the Getz was engineered to be originally, a budget-family car. So don't expect too much out of it. Especially since mine is an Auto, the acceleration of 0-100, is somewhat a laughing stock. And no, I'm not putting my ride down. I am just stating mere facts. Any idiot can read the brochure.

Do bear in mind this anyways, "It's the rider, not the ride." (Quote taken from Tokyo Drift, in case any of you were wondering where you heard that sentence before.)
In any case, it proves all to be true. Buy this month's HotWheels car mag, and they'll prove. A Kia Picanto and Suzuki hot hatch giving the makes of Evo(s) and Wrx(s) a hard time on the twists and turns. See? It's the rider, not the ride. Hah.

I didn't know Mazda 3 had a 2.0 Litre version. It seems quite attractive... A hatch while being in the 2.0 Litre range really allures me. It can be sporty yet practical (Read: 4 doors). Who knows! I might forgo the Tuscani, RX-8, WRX, Integra and go ahead with the Mazda 3 2.0 Litre sedan! Wooo! Ok ok.. I know it isn't a performance car. But hrmm, since when was I looking for a performance car anyways? (Although really tempting.. Imagine a rotary... or a turbo... woooo!) Anytime I need a "Sports Coupe", I can always drive my Dad's Coupe, the Mercedes Benz CLS 350 which does the 0-100 in 7 seconds flat.

So, there really IS alot to consider. I would certainly love to go all out and modify my current ride. But come to think of it, it really isn't worth doing ALL the modifications. I'll just be satisfied with the above two. Because at the end of the day, this ride won't last long on me. This I can sincerely assure you, even though I've grown to love my Getz as much as I love blogging. I'd rather be off spending MUCH more on my next ride, which will prove to be more worth than my cute Korean car.

There ya go fellas'! My thoughts and my words. I'd better get back to studying for my Quality and Reliability Semestral Paper tomorrow. I don't wanna fail it! So see ya all later folks'!

Last two papers, Satellite and Optical Communications, and Organisational Management on Friday. Then it'll be off to MoS at night to celebrate the end of my exams! And the start of the next torment, the Final Year Project (Damn it!).

Whatever the case is, I bid you all, a nice drift day ahead, and take care! Till we meet again my brother(s) and sister(s)!

Feels good to have short hair. Got it cut at Hair Profile this morning down at Far East. Supah cooling I tell you.

Anyways, we went to see my new house in the evening just now. I like it. Baby likes it too. :] Will be living so close to my parents, and my aunt is considering a unit near ours too. Haha.. spy arh? Hrmm... It was Al Forno for dinner. Damn full... We had vongole for starters, then main was Quattro Formaggi Pizza, something called a Fuzza, special seafood spaghetti, and Aglio Olio spaghetti. I was really filled to the brim. (Read: FAT)

Don't feel like blogging now haha. Tired la. Maybe I'll blog again tomorrow... MAYBE.

Peace ya'll, and don't forget to study for the remaining papers! MOS on this coming Friday, onz?

As said earlier, there would most likely be a car change early next year.

1. Honda Integra 2.0 GSR - 160 BHP
2. Mazda RX-8 1.3 Rotary - 231 BHP
3. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX - 320 BHP
4. Subaru Impreza 2.5 WRX AWD - 230 BHP
5. Hyundai Tuscani 2.0 FX - 143 BHP

Integra, albeit not the slowest and second least powerful amongst the 5, it is a Honda. i-VTEC engine isn't as powerful as it's brother, the Type-R Integra, which is sold off PIs. It still is attractive to drive isn't it.

When you're spoilt for choice, it's really hard to decide. I would love to own myself a rotary engine RX-8. The power and perfect 50-50 weight distribution chasis is alluring. 231 BHP in your hands. Woah.

Third contestant needs little/no introduction at all. Most powerful in it's category. Everyone wants one. Yea. But the fuel consumption is worse than a rotary or a WRX. As with all fast cars doesn't it? I don't know, but it just doesn't douse much interest for me. Maybe it's too quick? Maybe it looks too ah beng? I don't know. Just don't like it even with the monstrous 320BHP tag on it.

Now, what can I say about the WRX. AWD, limitless traction, every boyracer's fantasy, even the cops use it to hunt racers. Hrmm.. 2.5litre turbocharged engine. Beats most machines hands-down, except the rotary. Honestly. Doesn't need much introduction, does it? FC-wise, it'll kill you as much as the rotary.

The final contender, the Hyundai Coupe. Or should I say, Tuscani. Whatever it is, it's a fair deal the Korean carmakers put in effort churning out this sophisticated yet tame beast. Only standing at a mere 143 BHP, not quick. But a headturner. Definitely worth considering.

You might be thinking, why didn't I include the likes of the famous Nissan Fairlady? Well, it's simple. I'm looking for, NOT a 2-seater. :) As simple as that. Otherwise, I'd have easily listed down the Honda S2000 and theNissan Fairlady.

Oh well.. see how la. Who knows I might still stick to my lovely Getz. It isn't any sports car, nor is it turbocharged, nor supercharged, it's fun and practical to drive around. Just a mere 1.6Litre engine, but hey. It's the driver. Not the car that counts. Haha.. Wouldn't mind putting a turbo in one day though.. Shhhh.. don't tell LTA.

Hope some peeps can give me some comments here though on the cars.

Peace.

The day was aiight, amidst still recovering from the dreadful hives.

Sent my mom to her spa centre at Liang Seah before heading to NTUC Income House to pick my dearest baby up after her class. We then headed to Far East. Well I miss shopping, I know it's wierd hearing this from a guy, albeit a really normal straight and not-the-least-bit-gay kind. Perhaps it's the company of my beloved that makes it all the more enjoyable aye? Heh. Walked around at first, and not before long, sat down at the infamous LJS to grab a quick bite. Had fun there with chilli sauces and the mayo. Fun, wasn't it my dear? Anyways after much bumming at LJS, I was 'threatened' to get my ass off before someone starts to feel sleepy by sitting down for too long. So off we went then. Hrmm.. Pharmacy to get some PADS and in search of the Nin-Jiom, but to no avail of the latter. Must've been outta stock I reckon. But who cares. *COUGHS ALOUD*

Walked almost the whole of Far East I guess, before coming to an insane idea of getting my younger brother a.k.a. John Young, rather known to the whole family as the next Singapore Idol, or perhaps the next Rain/Se7en. He really loves dancing and singing, and somehow, has the knack for it. Right now, O's first k? After that I'll sign you up for Poppin' lessons down at CHEC's dance school ma dearest bro. So we (my beloved and I) went in search of THE present. Walked straight in ReVoltage and the damn cap was bloody nice I tell ya! Although it was a lil' on the expensive side, I decided to geddit. Seriously, I even called Young up and asked him a silly question. Which went something like this :

*Phone rings*
Young, "Hello"
Me, "I give you some colours, you choose 1."
Young, "Ok"
Me, "Black, Gold, White or Brown"
Young, "*Hesitates*..... Black."
Me, "Ok ah? Confirm ah?"
Young, "Why leh kor?"
Me, "Getting you a belated birthday present ma... So confirm black ah?"
Young, "Wah! Ok thanks bro!"
Me, "Ok confirm. Bye"
Young, "Bye kor"
*Hangs up*

Immediately chose the black, and paid for. Even got myself a badge which they gave free. LOL. Think the salesperson must've thought what a wierd brother I was man.. Nevermind him. Honestly, I kinda like the white one.. I think I might head back down soon and geddit. Hah.

Off we went after paying.. and shopped around MORE. Nothing nice really, except for the cap. Called JingYin whom we were supposed to have met up but she was still collecting her new passport and was delayed. So we decided to head down to Takashimaya. Why? Because parking and exiting is so damn convenient there. I seriously seriously HATE to park at Far East. Not that it's a bad place, but it's about exiting. Traffic really doesn't stop. You gotta be 'gung-ho' and chiong out. Unsafe, but fun when you're driving a small but quick car. (Speaking of which, (cars I mean) I'll be changing one real soon... Touch on that later la)

Ah.... Taka. Love the place, the parking, the big parking, the 'everything' la. Went to buy my mom's favourite raisin bread, had myself green tea ice-cream while my beloved baby went to buy her doughnuts while successfully ensnaring my dollar notes from my hands (change from the ice-cream) and telling me it's for her "Chi-Chi fund". I'm so generous. :)

Singapore really small ah.... Guess who we met while walking out after the food section? The two Cheryls! Lee and Lam of course, so to speak. Anyways, they were saying they just came back from their US trip (although they were speaking rather softly, or are my ears failing me?). Been a long time. Always good to meet friends on the streets after a long time. In a way, both have changed, in terms of appearances.

Anyways, my beloved baby and I just sat at the fountain and enjoyed the sweet moments of being a couple while watching people go by, children trying to jump in to the fountain (ok I made that up, but wouldn't it be damn funny? haha :] ), while I tried finishing my ice-cream and coughing at the same time. Then we saw these 2 obviously obese kids racing one another down the stairs, baby was snickering at them, but I told her off. I mean hey, at least it's a good start right? Burn some calories ma. Hopefully when we get married and have kids, our kids won't become like that arh.. If not, confirm 'tao tia' (word 'headache' in hokkien). And then..... JingYin called! Finally the diva reached Orchard! Haha.. So long.. Better late than never ;) She had a craving for Thai food and the nearest was Paragon's ThaiExpress, so it was off to SawadeeExpress. Queue-d for a lil' while and when it was our turn, the diva (JingYin), came smack right on time ok! No joke! Like some precision timing or something! Went in together, and was pretty crowded la. But luckily we came a little early. If not the queue would've been much longer. Ordered our food and was served by this super enthusiastic waiter. Damn funny la. His enthusiasm is so damn infectious, that he makes you wanna cheer or something! Haha.. Well, I can't take seafood for the time being, so had to make do with chicken glass noodles, while my baby had prawn glass noodles, and JingYin had prawn omelette rice.

Guess what! The enthusiastic waiter fell! Flat on the floor. Poor him! Thankfully ThaiExpress things are mostly plastic, so nothing was broken. He wasn't broken too, although he was walking with a slight limp soon afterwards. Even the angmoh couple beside us told him to be careful. We told him don't fall again too. Haha... One word. Entertaining. After dinner, tipped him too. Honest fella la that guy. If I were to ever open an F&B outlet, this is the kinda worker I will certainly hire. Infectious enthusiasm, coupled with excellent customer service. I walked out of ThaiExpress, a very happy and satifsfied although not that full customer.

Home, home and away! Strolled back to Taka's carpark after dinner and set to send the two ladies home. Was pretty much an enjoyable day though, although it was a little short. But hey, why should I complain aye? At least I enjoyed myself. Hope my beloved baby enjoyed herself too! :)

Hrmm come to think of it, this is a rather long post. Been a long long really loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg time since I posted this much. No worries, will post more frequently. Will touch on the topic of cars tomorrow.

Ciao for now peeps. Hope you had a great day.

Guten Nacht everyone, and sweet dreams.

P.s. Lucky you Jingyin! Can go Bangkok la! Haha.. I'll organise with Tiara a weekend ClubMed trip soon! Do join us k!
